The City of Monongahela hosted a special recognition ceremony on March 9th celebrating the completion of their 2025 Local Share Account (LSA) grant, the Monongahela AED Project No. LS 25-58. The City was awarded $17,077 of which they purchased 14 Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) for use by municipal facilities and The City of Monongahela Police Department who serve Monongahela, New Eagle, Finleyville, and Union Township. State, County, and Local representatives in attendance expressed the importance of the project and their support for the necessary increase in distribution of the lifesaving device.
The Redevelopment Authority is proud to have contributed to the lifesaving project through the administration of the LSA funds by RACW’s Community Development Specialist, Johanna Burdine.
