Brownfield Property Database

A Brownfield is “real property, the expansion, redevelopment, or reuse of which may be complicated by the presence or POTENTIAL presence of a hazardous substance, pollutant, or contaminant.” – U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)

This database is intended to be used as an information tool as well as an opportunity to market a brownfield. It is an excellent option for free promotion of brownfields by advertising the exact property characteristics. Developers, investors, and other interested parties can search for specific property characteristics and access the information online.

To use the database is very simple. It is a search engine that allows the user to find a property to meet their needs by searching by municipality, acreage, utility access, infrastructure availability, and other categories an interested party may be looking for in a property. Users then have the option to export the queried data to an excel file sheet and save for their own reference.

The database is funded by a grant received by RACW from the EPA. RACW used these funds to utilize the services of Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. to develop and host the database. RACW strongly encourages the redevelopment of brownfields. If you have additional information for a property, a change in information for a property or know of a brownfield not listed in the database, please contact Kerry Fox, kerry.fox@racw.net, at the RACW.

The database will be updated as needed regarding updated information, new brownfields, or completed environmental site assessments. The information in this database was prepared by review of publicly available information and information received from others. RACW makes no representation as to the accuracy and completeness of this database as respects the properties listed.
