On November 9th, the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum held a ribbon cutting for its 21,000 square-foot Welcome and Education Center. The Trolley Museum, located in Washington County’s Chartiers Township, has been educating and preserving the history of trolleys since 1954. The Museum boasts 52 historic trolley cars, many of which have been restored or are in the process of; a historically accurate brick-paved street used for guided trolley tours; and many trolley-related artifacts.
The Redevelopment Authority is proud to have been and continue to be part of the creation of the new Center through the administration of $2.5 million of Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP) funds and $47,000 of Local Share Account (LSA) funds by RACW’s Community Development Specialist, Kerry Fox.
