RACW recently announced the launch of our Employee Volunteer Program (EVP) which aims to increase our culture of giving back to the community and creating meaningful social impact. Our Employee Volunteer Program offers the opportunity for staff to take one workday per fiscal year and spend it in the community to get involved in non-profit or charitable volunteer opportunities or contribute time to one of our elderly resident facilities during food bank days. Although many staff members already volunteer outside of work hours, we believe that our Employee Volunteer Program will not only strengthen RACW’s commitment to social responsibility but also provide a platform for personal and professional growth for each of our team members.
As evidence of RACW’s staffs’ volunteer efforts, some members of RACW’s staff volunteered their free time this past weekend at two of the biggest events in Washington County- the Pony League World Series and FlightFest! Nathan Voytek, Development Program Manager, is President of the Pony League which means he spent countless hours leading up to and during the event to ensure everything is top notch. Brian Penak, CFO; Jack Holmes, Building Superintendent; Caroline Duffey, Administrative Services Manager; Janelle Yamber, Senior Housing Director; and Amy Labosco, HR, Benefits and Payroll Manager worked the concession stand and parking lot for the Pony League World Series on Saturday, August 12th. Kerry Fox, Community Development Specialist, volunteered multiple evenings during the week of the 13th taking tickets. Todd Fleissner contributed to the set up of FlightFest on Friday night, August 11th.
