There is no better view of Washington County than from up in the clouds! On Saturday, August 12th, 2023 from 12PM to 6PM, Washington County Airport will be hosting their annual FlightFest. Along with North Franklin Township and South Franklin Townships’ generous support and contributions to the event, the aviation celebration will have airplane rides, food trucks, live music, bounce houses, euro-bungee jumping, trackless train rides, rock wall climbing, carnival games and much more! The event is free to enter, but tickets for airplane rides and attractions can be purchased in advance at FlightFest.org.

Created and continually organized by Brianna Elliott, VP of Skyward Aviation and Dan Secrist, Aviation Director of Washington County Airport, FlightFest was first held in 2021 and continues to grow in popularity and size every year. FlightFest has now evolved into a 501(c)3 nonprofit and all profits from the event go to charity. This year’s FlightFest will benefit IzzyStrong, a foundation created to support Isabelle Heather who is 5th grader at Trinity West Elementary School battling Ewing’s Sarcoma.

The Redevelopment Authority is proud to manage the Washington County Airport. The Airport is a tremendous community asset that typically contributes to Washington County behind the scenes. FlightFest is a family-friendly event that showcases the work (and fun!) that the Airport and aviation brings to the County. For more information about the event, please check out the following:
